DMCA Notice Requirements
Must include the following:
- Description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Description of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that you want removed or access to which you want disabled, and the URL or other location of that material.
- Your name, address (if acting as an agent), email address, and phone number.
- The following statement: I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use).
- The following statement: The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

We will review your submission and take any appropriate action under the DMCA, including removing the specified content from the site. Additionally, under appropriate circumstances, we may disable access to or terminate the account(s) of the reported user(s).
DMCA Counter-Notice Requirements
If an agreement with the copyright owner cannot be reached, the content owner may submit a DMCA counter-notice to info@athar.news within ten (10) business days of our notice. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we will forward a copy to the copyright owner. A counter-notice is a legal document and must comply with the DMCA and include:
- Contact Information: Your name, address (if acting as an agent), physical address, email, and phone number.
- Content Identification: Reasonable identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled.
- Statement under penalty of perjury: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification."
- Jurisdiction Agreement: One of the following statements (as applicable):
- If based in the U.S.: I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located.
- If based outside the U.S.: I consent to the jurisdiction of any U.S. Federal District Court where Athar News is located.
- One of the above is required.
- Service of Process Agreement: The following statement: "I will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice or their agent."
- Signature: Electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or authorized person acting on behalf of the owner.
Trademark Takedown Request Requirements
If you are certain that you want to report content on Athar News that you believe infringes your trademark, please provide the following information:
- Details of the original trademark (with description if it's a logo).
- List of countries where the trademark is registered.
- Trademark registration number.
- Scanned copy of the registration certificate(s) or screenshot of the registration from the applicable national IP office website or database.
- A declaration with the following statement: "By submitting this notice, I declare that I have a good faith belief that the reported use, in the manner complained of, is not authorized by the intellectual property rights owner, their agent, or the law. The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of the intellectual property rights owner in question."
